New Bariatric Surgeon - Associate Professor Garrett Smith
Forster and Mayo Private Hospitals welcome Bariatric Surgeon, A/Prof Garett Smith, with his first clinic scheduled for 23 April.
Garett is a leading laparoscopic general upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgeon with a particular interest in laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, hernia surgery, weight loss surgery, anti-reflux and hiatus hernia surgery.
Garrett also treats patients with oesophago-gastric cancer.
Garett completed his training in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery in Australia, The United Kingdom and the United States. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Sydney, past president of the Sydney Upper Gastrointestinal Surgical Society and founding executive member of the Australia and New Zealand Gastro-Oesophageal Surgeons Society. He is also a member of the National and International Bariatric Surgeons’ Association.
A/Prof Garett welcomes new referrals from GPs at the Mayo Specialist Centre and Forster Private Hospital.
