Dr Calista Spiro is a qualified acute care, general and upper gastrointestinal surgeon. She has spent her formative general surgical training in NSW and the ACT before completing her fellowship at Austin Health in Victoria in an industry sponsored fellowship in bariatric surgery (Johnson & Johnson).

Dr Spiro has an interest in upper gastrointestinal research and has published articles in international and local surgical journals. She has a Masters of Surgery from the University of Sydney in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery. She is a motivated teacher and dedicated to supporting younger physicians and surgeons.

Dr Spiro's surgical focus is on expedited and minimally invasive surgery, and personalised care.
