Dr Alexander Dennis is a rehabilitation medicine physician based at Forster and Mayo Private Hospitals. Dr Dennis has a special interest in the rehabilitation of neurological and orthopaedic conditions as well as reconditioning following medical illness, surgery and trauma.

Dr Dennis completed his medical degree at the University of Newcastle. He then went on to successfully complete specialist training in rehabilitation medicine in NSW hospitals. This included at John Hunter Hospital where he gained specific expertise in the recovery of complex orthopaedic trauma and neurological conditions.

Prior to becoming a doctor, Dr Dennis worked as a physiotherapist in rehabilitation. This gives him a unique position to approach his patients’ care from a multidisciplinary perspective to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

He offers a range of rehabilitation services in inpatient and outpatient settings and has expertise in the following areas of rehabilitation:

Dr Dennis holds appointments at the University of Newcastle as a Conjoint Fellow and with Hunter New England Health as a Staff Specialist in rehabilitation medicine.
